Programme description

The Environmental Protection and Management studies are addressed to English-speaking students who seek specialist education in contemporary environmental conservation and natural resource management.

The programme responds to the current challenges associated with the global climate and environmental crisis and prepares students to address the resulting environmental issues. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on practical skills, including decision-making, ecological assessment and evaluation, and the use of GIS. It ensures that your expertise is rooted in evolutionary principles, providing a broad understanding of ecosystem functioning and the ability to design experimental setups. Students will acquire knowledge of both the scientific basis and legal aspects of environmental protection.

Curriculum

To complete the programme, it is necessary to obtain a minimum of 120 ECTS credits in required and optional subjects. A student receives credit for one year of study if he/she accumulates at least 60 ECTS credits.

They obtain interpersonal skills to successfully apply such competences in real world environmental management. Graduates are able to raise funding and apply for grants.
