Announcement No. 1/2022 of the Dean of the Faculty of Biology of the Jagiellonian University of January 21, 2022

on the organization of work and rules aimed at preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus among the academic community of the Faculty.

 

Due to the growing number of coronavirus infections and the increasing number of cases of Covid-19 caused by the new Omikron variant, out of concern for the health of all employees and students and to prevent the spread of infections, the Faculty of Biology of the Jagiellonian University maintains and introduces the following rules:

  1. In accordance with the applicable sanitary regulations and the announcement No. 33 of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, employees, PhD students and students are required to cover their mouths and nose with masks in all common rooms of the Faculty of Biology and during didactic classes, observe the rules of social distancing and frequent washing or disinfecting hands.
  2. Classes in the last week of the winter semester take place in accordance with previous arrangements and schedules or in accordance with new information provided by the course coordinators. Only a person who is asymptomatic, not in quarantine, isolation or with a person under quarantine may participate in stationary classes.
  3. During the winter examination session 2021/2022, an obligation to conduct credits and examinations remotely with the use of dedicated tools and programs available at the Jagiellonian University is introduced.
  4. After consultation with the immediate supervisor, the rotation or remote mode of work is introduced for administrative and technical employees in a manner ensuring the continuity of performed works and duties.
  5. It is recommended to limit the stay of research and teaching staff, PhD students and graduate students in the Faculty's buildings to the minimum necessary for the performance of research and teaching duties.
